Professional Shear Price Comparison
Professional shear prices, compared
Last verified: September 6, 2026. Published list prices in US dollars, taken from each brand's own website or, where the brand restricts online sales, from an authorized US dealer. Links to each source are at the bottom of the page. Prices change; if you find one that has moved, write to hello@infynitedge.com and we will update it.
The comparison covers the most comparable product from each brand: a mainline convex-edge cutting shear in the 5.5 to 6.0 inch range, not a limited edition, plus the matching thinning shear. Where a brand does not publish a set price, the set figure is the sum of the two list prices and is marked as such. Steel is listed as each brand states it on its own product page.

How to read this
Every shear on this page is a serious professional tool, and price is only one input. What the table shows is where the Chromium shears sit: the cutting shear at the low end of the premium Japanese-steel band, within a few dollars of the closest comparable models, and the set below every constructed set from the established brands, above only the value tier. We explain why in Where the money goes.
Chromium shears are also available on the InfynitEdge subscription with sharpening, swaps, and shipping included. See the subscription plans.
